2004 Reunion
American Legion Park
Versailles, Indiana
September 19, 2004

Arriving at the American Legion Park, we found a very unique building. When the building walls were rolled up it appeared to be a shelter with a fully equipped kitchen, and restrooms. When the walls were down you had an enclosed building, I'll call it a convertible building. The weather was perfect, sunny, and mild with a breeze.

We received about 25-30 very nice donated raffle items with 3 door prizes. We had everything from large jars of soup to jewelry. The door prizes were: a large crock pot, iron skillet set and a decorative album. Each individual received a free ticket for the drawing of the door prizes as they signed in. Several memorable moments, one to be mentioned was when Loren Calhoun had won a rather nice pair of pierced ear rings. Loren's expression was priceless, he turned to me and said, "I don't wear ear rings, raffle them again". Of course someone shouted, "Loren will have to get his ears pierced". All Loren could do was shake his head "no"; but took the joking with a big smile.

Family laughter was heard through out the day, time flew by too fast. Before we knew it 5:30 P.M. had arrived, clean up was at hand and time to call it a day. Our agenda got a little mixed up but all worked out just fine. It was a wonderful day to be able to spend some time with members of our extended Reynolds families. Everyone left with hugs and comments on how much they had enjoyed themselves. Even though we were small in number we had a most enjoyable day. Some are already planning to come to the 2006 Reynolds Reunion in Hindman with donations for a raffle. This small event truly showed everyone of the enjoyment that could be had in a larger reunion event.

The food was wonderful with a variety of different dishes to complement the turkey and ham. We have some very good cooks. Thanks to the ones who participated with donations of raffle items and door prizes. A 'special" thanks to the ones who helped in making this reunion such an enjoyable event with your help and attendance.
